This certifies that pursuant to notice legally given a meeting was held in this Village February 26th 1849 for the purpose of organizing a society to be known as the First Presbyterian Society of Albion. The meeting was called to order. Mr. John Fleming was chosen chairman and Mr. Henry J. Holmes secretary.
It was then moved and carried that we proceed to make choice of Trustees. Accordingly the following trustees were duly appointed E. O. Grosvenor, John Fleming, W. M. Olcott, Henry McGee, Marvin Hannahs & E. H. Johnson.

On this second day of April A.D. 1849 before the undersigned a Justice of the Peace personally came John Fleming and Henry J. Holmes the persons described in and who executed the foregoing instrument who acknowledge that they signed sealed and delivered the same for the use and purposes therein.
